Young Minds for Safer Roads – Road Safety Workshop at Our School

As part of National Road Safety Month 2026, our school had the privilege of hosting a Road Safety Awareness Workshop on 22 January 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon in the school hall. The session was conducted by Mr. Ashutosh Soni, Project Director, NHAI Khandwa, with the aim of educating students about safer road practices and responsible behaviour.

The workshop was specially designed for students of Classes VIII to XI, focusing on making them aware of their role in preventing road accidents. Through an engaging and interactive presentation, students learned about the meaning of traffic lights and road signs, the importance of pedestrian crossings, and everyday safety habits while walking, cycling, or using school transport.

One of the most impactful segments of the session was on emergency awareness, where students were introduced to the Good Samaritan guidelines. This helped them understand how they can responsibly assist accident victims without fear or hesitation. The session concluded with a road safety pledge, inspiring students to become ambassadors of safety in their homes and communities.

The enthusiastic participation of students and their thoughtful questions reflected the success of the workshop. Such initiatives play a crucial role in shaping responsible citizens and fostering a culture of safety from a young age.

We sincerely thank NHAI Khandwa for partnering with us in this important cause and for helping our students take a confident step towards building safer roads for everyone.
