Empowering Educators: Two-Day Training on Experiential Learning

St. Joseph’s Convent Hr. Sec. School, Khandwa, in collaboration with the CBSE Centre of Excellence (COE), Bhopal, successfully hosted a two-day Teachers’ Training Programme on Experiential Learning on 8th and 9th November 2025. The workshop aimed at transforming classroom practices by equipping teachers with hands-on teaching strategies and student-centric methodologies aligned with the vision of NEP 2020.

Creating Classrooms That Think, Explore, and Grow

Experiential learning—rooted in the idea of learning by doing—encourages students to connect knowledge with real-life experiences. The training helped our teachers explore practical techniques that nurture curiosity, foster critical thinking, and make learning meaningful and joyful.

Both days were filled with interactive discussions, collaborative tasks, and reflective exercises that guided teachers to rethink their approach to lesson planning, assessment, and classroom engagement.

Meet Our Esteemed Resource Persons:

Mr. Pradeep Saharawat

A seasoned educator with 17 years of experience, Mr. Saharawat has conducted over 24 CBSE Capacity Building Programmes across the country. His sessions focused on active learning strategies, classroom management, and the seamless integration of competency-based education.

He has been honoured as the Best Principal of the Year by the Sahodaya School Complex and recently received the Visionary EduLeader Award, acknowledging his remarkable leadership and contribution to education.

Dr. Kavita Trivedi

A distinguished academic and Master Trainer for COE Bhopal, Dr. Trivedi brings over two decades of experience in the field of education. With Master’s degrees in multiple disciplines—English, Psychology, Sociology, Political Science, Public Administration, and Education—she embodies both depth and diversity in her expertise.

She has conducted numerous CBSE sessions on NEP 2020, Happy Classroom, Gender Sensitivity, Learning Outcomes, and Stress Management. A trained Bharatanatyam dancer, accomplished content writer, and researcher, she represented Madhya Pradesh at NTC Guwahati, presenting her oral research paper.

Their combined experience and dynamic facilitation made the training deeply enriching for all participants.

Highlights of the Training

  • Hands-on group activities demonstrating experiential techniques
  • Designing competency-based lesson plans
  • Understanding NEP 2020 expectations in everyday teaching
  • Practical classroom models encouraging creativity and collaboration

Teachers appreciated how the workshop blended theory with practical application, giving them tools they could implement immediately in their classrooms.

A Step Forward in Transforming Teaching–Learning Practices

The two-day training reinforced the belief that effective education must extend beyond textbooks. By embracing experiential learning, teachers can inspire students to think, explore, reflect, and take ownership of their learning journey.

St. Joseph’s Convent Hr. Sec. School, Khandwa expresses heartfelt gratitude to CBSE COE Bhopal, Mr. Pradeep Saharawat, and Dr. Kavita Trivedi for their valuable contributions, expertise, and commitment to empowering educators.

With renewed motivation and deeper insight, our teachers are now better prepared to create classrooms where learning is not just taught but truly experienced.
